Abstract
The impact the dietary fibre has on human physiological activities and food properties has attracted much attention from health professionals and food scientists. From the biomedical point of view, dietary fibre acts like a sponge, binding water, nutrient, bile acid as it passes along the gastrointestinal tract which is its primary site of action.
